Student Spotlight: Meet Bekah!
At Learning Allegro, we are PROUD of our students and their accomplishments! Take a moment to meet one of our awesome flute students, Bekah.
Bekah is in seventh grade, and she has been taking lessons at Learning Allegro for about four years. She originally came to Learning Allegro as a violin student with Miss Haleigh, but today, she takes flute with Miss Monica. She has a lot of favorite songs that she has played over the years, but one of her favorite flute songs is “Celtic Air and Dance.”
Her favorite Learning Allegro memory is a musical game that she used to play with her violin teacher: “Miss Haleigh and I used to play a song that we nicknamed “Corkestra.” It made me feel special because Miss Haleigh would play the ukulele while I played the violin, and it felt like a real duet!”
Bekah chose to switch to flute because her mom played it when she was in school. Music runs in Bekah’s family! Bekah also had friends in her school’s marching band who told her that playing in the band was fun, and she decided she wanted to try it for herself.
She describes her flute teacher, Miss Monica, as funny, helpful, and very supportive.
When Bekah grows up, she wants to be either a professional flute player or a marine biologist. She’s also going to try indoor color guard this year at Owen J. Roberts Middle School. Go Bekah!
